Way back when, I had a poetry group in Milwaukee called Die Young. We held readings and hung out. Carrie was a promising young poet –what–17 years or more ago? Looking back, Roberto Harrison was a member when he was just Bob, a quiet, nice guy. Steve Pratt was with us, and other worthies. There were other names like Sheila and Greg and his sweet lady love. All before I left for Japan and a new life. I’m happy when old friends return doing what they’ve always done. Connect with me and let’s talk of cabbages and kings. Jess

No kidding. This little book of stories could go on the big screen. At the very least I’m going to order this book and teach it in my classes. Jess

I love this little book! It fits just in my palm, has a great feel and a wonderful cover of a cig in an ash tray next to a whiskey on the rocks. I’ve dipped into this one a bit and found the words fresh and the writing good. Marked for a longer review, but wow! Jess
