Early on I’d mentioned that our policy was a month’s turn-around for publishing books. We attempted to do the right thing with Mike Heller and work out a pod deal for his two novels with Book mobile. The book was ready for press before last summer and has yet to be released, though I’m assured that it’s in boxes and ready to go. Mike Heller is a great critic and poet and friend. We missed a real opportunity to push Mr. Heller’s book at AWP and I regret that immensely. This is my personal word to Mr. Heller that we will push his book and get it to the right people. Even if I have to travel from Japan to do it. Jesse
